It's a perfect day for hiking. Since I have been to North Cascade Pass and Sahale Arm 3 times, we wanted to try a new place. We headed for Hidden Lake, a hike on top of my hiking list for quite a while.

The long driving was worth it. A peak with a slope radiating in golden color under morning sun shines made us excited just after a short walk in the forest. The trail is along the valley. Views just became more beatiful each step we walked higher. After a while, one can see Mt. Baker. Above the tree line, blue berry with bright red colors were along the slopes. After a big turn, one can see Glacier on Johannesburg peak. Looking up, the small lookout house on the peak is visible. After a little difficult climbing on the rocks, we reached the hidden lake saddle. Wenjuan stayed in the saddle area. Charlie and I continued to the lookout house. The 360 degree view is gorgeious. One can see Mt. Baker, Glacier Peak, maybe Sahale Arm and Boston Peak. Mt. Rainier's cap can also been seen.

We headed back around 4:00. Eating blue berries and taking pictures cost us more time going down. We were back to the trail head about 7:45.

Leaving home at 7:40 and came back around 11:40. It's a long and nice day.
